DRAG ME

MAY 2024

"I absolutely LOVE this song. The vocal is soooo good. Different from just about anything I have heard recently to be honest with an almost haunting depth to it but, it doesn't fall into that trap of trying to sound weird at the same time. So many vocalists when they try this, either sound flat, or a bit off-key when they are trying to sound "original" and alternative but I was really taken with the tone and soul of the voice here and thought it had a real clarity to it as well. The way it lifted for the chorus line was impressive too. Let's not forget that we have an excellent band here providing the backdrop too. The guitar parts were packed with melody and I loved the little hook going into the chorus. The rhythm section was solid too and I enjoyed the listen very much (all three of them so far!)" - pre-release reviews are confidential "We found the production impeccable, instrumentation also at the level supported by high quality guitar lines. On that side. The artist has hit hard and we are curious to discover a little more about their musical catalog." "I love the way that you manage to blend the Jerry Cantrell-like guitar with the kind of Taylor Momsen singing"

LYRICS

I’ve gotta get up off of my knees Feeling so surrounded in my doubt The ghost of pressure makes it hard to breathe Only I could drown while in a drought You’ll have to drag me You’ll have to drag me Oh god, I wish there was another way I seem to be my own greatest enemy Breaking everything that’s in my path Staring at the mirror in front of me Can’t see me until I break the glass You’ll have to drag me You’ll have to drag me Oh god I wish there was another way Drowning in a place void of water I feel most awake in the dead of night Feeling most like me when I’m shattered I’m trying my best to put up a fight Drowning in a place void of water (Drag Me) I feel most awake in the dead of night Feeling most like me when I’m shattered I’m trying my best to put up a fight Drowning in a place void of water (Drag Me) I feel most awake in the dead of night Feeling most like me when I’m shattered I’m trying my best to put up a fight You’ll have to drag me You’ll have to drag me Oh god, I wish there was another way You’ll have to drag me You’ll have to drag me Oh god, I wish there was another way

FORGET YOU

“‘Forget You’ is a transformative sound that helps us ignite the flame that drives existence.” Portuguese: “‘Forget You’ um som transformador que nos ajuda a acender a chama que movimenta a existência.”- Roadie Music, Brazil “From thunderous drums to gritty, electric guitar strums and a deep rocky riff, even just the opening moments of  ‘Forget You’ are unapologetically loud and eager to be listened to, filled with a passion and adrenaline that’s utterly infectious.” - Existential Magazine “Forget You is not just a song; it’s an emotional journey that speaks to the complexities of human relationships and the power of resilience.” - Edgar Allen Poets “The discharge of energy that the melody injects into us makes the cells renew and the desire to overcome, grow along the lines of raw and connective talent, instigating the flame that lights the gaze and conjures transformation.” - Roadie Metal

HARDER

"Without a doubt Avalon is one of the most promising female voices of the last 5 years in the hard rock universe. Her new song “Harder” is a powerful rock ballad, with an emotional message that culminates in a soulful guitar solo." - Global Pop "Stone once again proves why she’s one of the best alternative rock singer-songwriters nowadays. She poured all her knowledge, skills, and talent into this track, and her efforts resulted in a meaningful rock ballad that exceeds all expectations. You should put “Harder” on your radar as soon as possible because Avalon Stone’s vocal and musical performance will knock you off the chair." - Thoughts Words Action "Sonically we are faced with a greasy, pompous and imposing alternative rock ballad with dirty guitars in its strong chorus. And the icing on the cake is Avalon's big voice... A masterful guitar solo completes the package!" - Music For All, Brazil "the song might be called “Harder” but it will help you feel less alone on a cold, dark winter night." - Canadian Beats

LYRICS

Getting up in the morning, my mind doesn’t stray from the bed Fear, it paralyses and it occupies my head Because once I’m awake, there’s no excuses left There’s not much left of me, I am unravelling like a thread It’s getting harder than it used to be Days getting longer, all I do is sleep So don’t you tell me that some things are easy to change Cause I don’t see no other way It’s getting harder than it used to be Than it used to be Yeah Too much too early, too much too soon Awareness is painful and I am mourning for my youth I was naive and free, my presence could fill up a room Yeah You might not believe me, but I am trying to tell you the truth It’s just that it’s harder than it used to be Days getting longer, all I do is sleep So don’t you tell me that some things are easy to change Cause I don’t see no other way It’s getting harder than it used to be Than it used to be Than it used to be Than it used to be Yeah Than it used to be, yeah So don’t you tell me that some things are easy to change Cause I don’t see no other way It’s getting harder than it used to be Than it used to be
